An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated clinical diabetes foot specialist to join their multidisciplinary team at the Aintree Diabetes Centre. This role involves managing complex diabetic and vascular foot complications and providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have postgraduate knowledge and at least three years of experience in managing high-risk patients. This position offers flexible working patterns, allowing for a balanced work-life integration while contributing to a vital healthcare service that impacts the community positively.
Job summary
Based within the Aintree Diabetes Centre at Aintree Hospital, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to manage highly complex diabetic and vascular foot complications. You will contribute to our goal of providing excellent diabetes foot care.
You will primarily work in outpatient settings alongside consultant colleagues in Diabetes, Vascular, and Orthopaedic services.
Currently, we run three consultant-led Diabetic Foot Clinics weekly, along with weekly multidisciplinary ward rounds and MDT meetings.
Applicants should demonstrate postgraduate knowledge of the diabetic foot, ideally at MSc level or equivalent, with at least 3 years' experience managing high-risk patients.
The ideal candidate will be dynamic, highly motivated, and possess excellent clinical, organizational, and IT skills. Effective communication with healthcare professionals and teamwork are essential.
