Job summary

Agincare seeks a Bank Cook for the Blenheim care home to craft meals that meet dietary needs and bring comfort to residents. You will contribute to daily menus, support kitchen operations, and maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation. This role covers a mix of shifts on a zero hour contract.

Ideal candidates have professional kitchen experience, knowledge of dietary frameworks, and a passion for compassionate, quality cooking in a care setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of working in a professional kitchen.
• Experience in catering and managing dietary requirements.
• Understanding of kitchen operations and food hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals meeting individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Create themed dining experiences to engage residents.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
• Experience in a professional kitchen and an understanding of kitchen operations
• Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or experience supporting complex dietary requirements (desirable)

Bank Cook to cover a mix of shifts as and when required - this is a zero hour contract

About the role:

Whether it's crafting delicious meals that meet individual dietary needs, creating themed dining experiences that bring the home to life, or simply serving a favourite dish that reminds someone of home, you'll be making a real difference every day. Using your culinary skills and food knowledge, you'll help create daily menus, support the organisation and smooth running of the kitchen, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation are maintained at all times.
