Job summary

Shaw Healthcare in Newtown, Wales, is seeking a passionate Chef to join our team at Plas Cae Crwn. You will prepare, cook and serve fresh, high-quality meals for residents, and plan nutritious menus that cater for dietary and cultural preferences.

You will lead, motivate and support the catering team, order stock within budget, and ensure HACCP records and high hygiene standards are maintained. This role is within Shaw Healthcare, an employee-owned employer.

• Planning varied, nutritious menus that cater for dietary, cultural and individual preferences.
• Supporting celebrations, themed events and special occasions with delicious catering.
• Ordering stock within budget and company guidelines using approved suppliers.
• Maintaining accurate food safety records in line with HACCP requirements.
• Ensuring the kitchen consistently meets high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, following all procedures.
• Leading, motivating and supporting members of the catering team.
