Brainkind in York is seeking a Bank Community Support Worker to provide care and support across multiple York sites including Rosegarth, Acomb Road, Beckfield Lane and Northmoor. The role offers a flexible bank schedule, with a pay rate of £13.21 per hour (£14.21 on weekends and Bank Holidays).

You will build professional relationships with service users, assist with daily tasks and personal care, support plans, risk assessments, and accompany service users on activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working within a care/support environment.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Good IT skills.
• A full UK driving licence and car is advantageous.
• Good time management and ability to prioritise workload.
• Patience, resilience, flexibility and commitment.

We are looking for a Bank Community Support Worker to work as part of an experienced team to deliver an exceptional service at our supported living services in the York area.

Main duties will include

• Establish and maintain professional working relationships with the service users, contributing to the creation of a homely and pleasant living environment for each service user.
• Participate in the development of service user/s support plans, risk assessments and programmes, complete written records as necessary and in accordance with the guidelines provided.
• Providing care and support for our service users when conducting daily tasks
• Provide personal care as and when required
• Creatively support our service users to reach their full potential, achieve their goals and live their best lives
• Accompany service users in activities and visits as and when required

Skills/Experience required
