Shaw Healthcare is looking for a Bank Chef to join the team at Llys Hafren. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to making a difference in the lives of those we care for. Our goal is to deliver the highest standard of care, comparable to what we would want for our own families. Llys Hafren has an excellent reputation as a highly valued care provider, with residents' needs at the center of all we do.

You will collaborate with our Home Manager, Nutritional Therapist, and staff to ensure the provision of high-quality, fresh, home-cooked meals daily. Building rapport with residents and their families to meet dietary needs is also essential. Your responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, cooking, and serving meals promptly for residents and others as required.
  • Catering to a varied diet, including cultural preferences.
  • Providing catering for celebrations and events within the Home.
  • Ordering supplies within the catering budget and company policies, using approved suppliers in the absence of the senior cook.
  • Maintaining accurate catering records in accordance with HACCP standards.
  • Participating in inspections by Environmental Health, care regulators, and Local Authorities.
  • Upholding high hygiene standards in the kitchen by following HACCP and COSHH guidelines.
  • Contributing to a safe and healthy working environment by adhering to Health & Safety policies.
  • Managing the Catering Team effectively.

Salary: £12.10 per hour
