Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Sheffield is seeking a Bank Kitchen Assistant/Catering Assistant on flexible bank shifts to help deliver balanced, appetising meals for residents.

You will perform basic prep, dishwashing, stock checks, hygiene, and assist with deliveries while maintaining COSHH rules and high cleanliness standards.

This role offers on the job training, supportive supervision, and flexible working arrangements. Candidates with care setting experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetising meals
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
• Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
• Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.

We are looking for an outstanding Bank Kitchen Assistant/Catering Assistantwho's passionate about food and wants to make a difference.

You'll be working Bank Shifts atCygnet Hospital Sheffield, creating an excellent experience for the people in our care.

Cygnet Hospital Sheffield offers general adolescent and intensive support CAMHS services for male and female adolescents over three distinct wards.

Within the adult service, women are supported by a full multi-disciplinary team who are focused on helping service users regain independence, maintain family links and prepare for discharge. There is a focus on community access, therapy and meaningful activity and offering a warm and welcoming environment for the delivery of support and care.

In the separate and distinct CAMHS services at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield, young people may be admitted to either our general or one of our intensive support CAMHS wards depending on their individual needs. All young people are supported by a full multi-disciplinary team alongside the therapy and education departments.

Your Day-to-Day...
