Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Bank Catering Assistant at The Limes, Langwith, Mansfield to support kitchen staff, help prepare meals, and assist with deliveries in a healthcare setting.

The role offers flexible shifts, an hourly rate of £13.11 plus a 12.07% holiday uplift, weekly pay, two‑week induction, staff app access, free parking, mandatory training and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Relevant catering qualification desirable.
• Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
• Experience in a similar catering role.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist catering staff with preparation and cooking of meals per policies.
• Serve service users, staff and visitors with food and beverages.
• Maintain storage procedures and rotate stock.
• Ensure areas and equipment are cleaned and stored correctly.
• Ensure kitchen meets hygiene standards and policies.
• Liaise with dietitians regarding dietary and planned meals.

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will support the chefs to prepare meals, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and assist with deliveries. There’s a great social aspect to this role where you can interact with people outside the kitchen regularly.

As a Bank Catering Assistant you will be:

• Assisting catering staff with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Serving service users, staff and visitors with food and beverages.
• Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation.
• Ensuring that all areas, equipment and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly.
• As part of the catering team, ensuring the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Liaising with the wider team, including dietitians regarding dietary and planned meals

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Relevant Catering Qualification (Desirable)
• Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP
• Experience of working within similar role.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

It is a specialist Rehabilitation service for men with a Mental Illness and/or Personality Disorder and a history of trauma and/or attachment disorders. The service offers a blended model of rehabilitation that combines a traditional rehabilitation environment with single and dual occupancy apartments, to provide a se amless care pathway for men.
