Job summary

SeeMe Hired Ltd. is seeking a Care Assistant to support a busy care home with flexible hours and alternate weekends. You will keep residents at the heart of care, follow care plans, and help maintain their relationships with the local community.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of fundamental standards and care regulations.
  • Willingness to undertake required training and qualifications.
  • Ability to document care plans and records clearly and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Place residents at the heart of care and respect their preferences.
  • Contribute to the efficient running of the service.
  • Support residents to maintain relationships with local communities.
  • Follow care plans and other supporting information about residents.
  • Inform Senior Care staff of changes in residents’ needs.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of those being supported.
  • Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in the service.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for residents.
  • Maintain relationships with residents' loved ones.
  • Be a role model, act professionally, and pursue personal growth.
  • Respect dignity, promote person-centred care, and ensure no discrimination.
  • Communicate clearly with residents and colleagues; speak up when needed.
  • Assist residents with daily tasks per their care plan (bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, bathroom).

  • Contribute to the efficient running of the service.
  • Support residents to maintain relationships and connections with their local community.
  • Follow care plans and other supporting information regarding residents.
  • Inform the Senior Care Assistant/Nurse of any changes in a residents needs.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of those being supported.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for residents.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with residents loved ones.

    Good English (written and verbal)., Proficient written skills to maintain care plans and care records in line with service policy.

  • Problem-solving skills to adapt to and address situations quickly, develop solutions, and recognise/report situations requiring protection.
  • Ability to assist residents with daily tasks by following their care plan, this may include bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom.
Previous Experience
  • Previous experience is not required., Previous experience of working in a similar environment.
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role.
  • Experience of working with service users, in particular, those that may have additional support needs.
