Job summary

Evermore Care Limited is seeking a Bank Care Assistant to join Ashton Manor Care Home in Lancaster. This role offers flexible Day and Night shifts and a competitive rate of £15.07 per hour, inclusive of holiday uplift.

You will deliver person-centred care, support residents with daily activities, and work closely with a friendly care team. We value compassionate, reliable people who can maintain dignity and independence for residents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a residential care, dementia care or elderly care setting.
• Genuine passion for supporting older people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding of confidentiality and dignity in care.
• Reliable, flexible and professional approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Assisting residents with eating, drinking and wellbeing.
• Promoting independence wherever possible with appropriate support.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assisting with light housekeeping duties.
• Maintaining clean, safe and welcoming living spaces.
• Supporting residents to feel comfortable and at home.
• Building positive relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues.
• Maintaining accurate records and respecting confidentiality.

About the Role

As a Bank Care Assistant, you'll provide compassionate support that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing for our residents.

You’ll work closely with colleagues, residents and families to ensure each individual receives the highest standard of care, tailored to their personal preferences and needs.

No two days are the same, and every shift offers the opportunity to make someone's day a little brighter.

What You’ll Be Doing

Delivering Outstanding Care

• Supporting residents with personal care including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Assisting residents with eating, drinking and maintaining their wellbeing.
• Promoting independence wherever possible while providing appropriate support.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to residents.

Creating a Comfortable Environment

• Assisting with light housekeeping duties.
• Helping maintain clean, safe and welcoming living spaces.
• Supporting residents to feel comfortable and at home.

Working as Part of a Team

• Building positive relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues.
• Working collaboratively with the wider care team.
• Maintaining accurate records and respecting confidentiality at all times.
• Contributing to a positive and supportive care environment.
