Job summary

Evermore Care Homes is seeking Bank Care Assistants for Ashton Manor Care Home in Lancaster to provide compassionate support for residents.

You’ll work on a flexible bank basis with day and night shifts, helping with personal care, meals, and daily living while upholding dignity and independence within a high-quality, award-winning care home environment.

  • Assisting with light housekeeping duties.
  • Maintaining clean, safe and welcoming living spaces.
  • Building positive relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues.

Location: Ashton Manor Care Home, Lancaster, Lancashire

Salary: £15.07 per hour, inclusive of holiday entitlement uplift

Contract Type: Bank - Day and Night shifts available

About The Role

As a Bank Care Assistant, you'll provide compassionate support that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing for our residents.

You’ll work closely with colleagues, residents and families to ensure each individual receives the highest standard of care, tailored to their personal preferences and needs.

No two days are the same, and every shift offers the opportunity to make someone's day a little brighter.

What You’ll Be Doing
Delivering Outstanding Care
  • Supporting residents with personal care including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
  • Assisting residents with eating, drinking and maintaining their wellbeing.
  • Promoting independence wherever possible while providing appropriate support.
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to residents.
Creating a Comfortable Environment
  • Assisting with light housekeeping duties.
  • Helping maintain clean, safe and welcoming living spaces.
  • Supporting residents to feel comfortable and at home.
Working as Part of a Team
  • Building positive relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider care team.
  • Maintaining accurate records and respecting confidentiality at all times.
  • Contributing to a positive and supportive care environment.

Essential Requirements
  • Previous experience within a residential care, dementia care or elderly care setting.
