Job summary

Templeton House Care Home in Ayr is seeking a Care Assistant to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for up to 69 residents in a home-like setting with modern amenities. The role operates on a bank contract with day and night shifts, offering a supportive team environment and full training.

You will assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, following care plans and recognising changes to ensure safe, responsive care. PVG check is paid and uniform is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities including personal care, mobility and nutrition.

• Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition for safe, responsive care.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to Bank hours per week
• Paid PVG, uniform provided

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
