Bank Biomedical Scientist - Haematology and Blood Transfusion

Band 6 (£43,231 to £52,679) pro rata

NHS Forth Valley is seeking HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientists with experience in Haematology and/or Blood Transfusion to join our Staff Bank at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

We are looking for experienced and motivated Biomedical Scientists who can provide flexible cover across day shifts and out-of-hours (OOH) shifts, helping us maintain a safe and effective laboratory service. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who are available to start as soon as possible.

The role

Successful applicants will support the Haematology and/or Blood Transfusion laboratory service, undertaking laboratory investigations and contributing to the provision of essential diagnostic and transfusion services.

Bank opportunities may include:

• Day-shift cover
• Evening, night and weekend OOH cover
• Haematology and/or Blood Transfusion shifts, dependent on relevant experience and competency

Essential requirements

Applicants must:

• Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Biomedical Scientist
• Have relevant experience in Haematology and/or Blood Transfusion
• Be able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and competencies required for the shifts undertaken
• Be able to work flexibly as part of the laboratory team

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Biomedical Scientists seeking flexible bank work while supporting NHS Forth Valley’s Haematology and Blood Transfusion services.
