Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: Are you an experienced Care Assistant or Support Worker with a genuine desire to help improve the lives of vulnerable people? Is it important for you to have a satisfying job where you feel supported? If so, we want to hear from you! We are recruiting for Support Workers in southern Inverness to support 2 young men with complex autism to live independently in their own homes, located next door to each other. The men we support are very active and require staff who are physically fit to support them. They walk up to 7 miles per day, go to the gym, trampolining, swimming, and horse riding weekly. They enjoy visiting family, playing Nintendo, watching YouTube, cooking, drawing, playing, listening to music, and outdoor activities. Our team supports with activities such as:
Previous experience supporting individuals with complex autism is essential, as we require staff who are resilient and can maintain strong boundaries. Routine and positive reinforcement are key. Shifts start at 8am and finish at 10pm. Both gentlemen have overnight support, including awaking night shifts from 10pm - 8am and sleepovers. Currently, we are recruiting for day shifts and sleepover cover. We also have bank roles for periods of leave and sickness.
