Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Bank Assistant Shop Managers to join our Retail Team. This role requires the successful candidate to assist and support the Shop Manager in maximising shop profit by achieving budgeted income, controlling shop expenditure in line with the budget, and recruiting and retaining a motivated team of volunteers.

Role Requirements
  1. Support the Shop Manager in managing the Retail budget to achieve targets, including:
    1. Maximising shop sales through donated stock and bought-in/new goods, involving proactive stock generation, optimum pricing, processing stock, and stock planning.
    2. Achieving Gift Aid sales conversion targets by maximising new donor sign-ups and encouraging repeat donations.
    3. Meeting additional fundraising activity targets, such as Christmas appeal sales, through team involvement.
    4. Maintaining high standards of shop presentation via merchandising and housekeeping as per the Shops Operations manual.
    5. Managing stock levels of bought-in/new goods, including ordering stock as necessary.
    6. Attending and supporting fundraising events to promote The Children’s Trust.
    7. Building links with local communities to promote retail activities through media and other channels.
    8. Performing manual handling tasks related to sorting and lifting stock.
  2. Possess experience working in a complex environment with a diverse workforce, demonstrating excellent organisation, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders.
