Job overview

We are seeking enthusiastic Anaesthetic Nurses / Operating Department Practitioners to join our Staff Bank. Roles are dynamic and vary; specific roles will be confirmed after recruitment. Depending on experience, higher banding/rates may be available.

Main duties of the job
  1. Assist clinicians and theatre team members with skilled support.
  2. Provide support and care to the standards required within the clinical area.
  3. Support areas involving specific equipment or techniques.
  4. Respond to unplanned activities proactively.
  5. Plan work to meet deadlines.
  6. Maintain competence in two of the three theatre specialties and rotate accordingly.

Additional responsibilities include:

  1. Communicate professionally at all times.
  2. Complete routine documentation accurately.
  3. Attend meetings, contribute actively, and seek mutual understanding.
  4. Gather additional information when needed.
  5. Handle interactions with sensitivity and understanding.
  6. Assist in data collection and service measurement.
  7. Engage with service improvements and changes.
