Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enriching the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.

Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.

We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over national and regional awards!

We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

  • I’m 30 years old now and currently live in my own home where you will support me to live my best life possible.
  • I have Autism but my condition doesn’t define me, it just makes me the individual I am – but I would need you to have had some good prior experience of supporting people a bit like me so that you can understand me a little better. It’ll just make things a little easier for both of us.
  • I am Muslim and my religion and culture is important to me. I would like you to respect this.

What is important to me/ What I enjoy:

  • I really love being active, whether that’s heading out swimming, go-karting, or just getting out and about into the community when the sun is shining.
  • I also love cars, and especially enjoy playing car racing video games – in fact, I often take part in online tournaments – I might need your help, and support, when I’m in race-mode!
  • I’m also chatty, and like it when people spend time talking with me.

Other information:

  • I am looking for full-time support from a group of individuals with experience in challenging behaviours and autism, it is important that you understand me and my daily challenges to help us both enjoy our time together
  • There are open spaces nearby and access to public transport is accessible at the end of the road.
  • I live near Meadowhall which I like to visit and walk around.

Shift Information: 07:00 - 23:00 (16 hrs long day) and 23:00 - 07:00 (Sleep in).
Your values:

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism and sensory communication, and physical health.

If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care.

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.

We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton and the Picture Exchange System.

During recruitment, you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support they require.

Naturally, it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high-quality, consistent care and support.
