Trinity Industrial Corp. is seeking a Bandsaw Operative to join our team on a temporary to permanent basis within a busy engineering environment.

You will be responsible for steel stock control, handling long lengths, and operating the bandsaw to cut materials to specification. The role requires experience with bandsaw operations, the ability to read measurements with verniers, input stock data, and maintain a safe, organised workspace.

Qualifikationen

• Experience operating a bandsaw in engineering/steel environments.
• Able to handle long lengths (8m–12m) and read measurements accurately.
• Basic computer/data input skills.
• Forklift licence is beneficial but not essential.
• Overhead crane (OHC) licence preferred where possible.
• Strong organisational skills and proactive, safety-conscious approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Taking full responsibility for steel stock within the yard and stock area
• Handling steel lengths ranging from 8 to 12 metres
• Loading and unloading lorries safely and efficiently
• Operating bandsaw machinery to cut materials to specification
• Shot blasting materials as required
• Using verniers to accurately measure materials
• Inputting stock and job information into the system
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating a bandsaw in an engineering or steel environment
• Confident handling long-length steel materials (8m-12m)
• Ability to use verniers and read measurements accurately
• Basic computer skills for data input
• Forklift licence beneficial but not essential
• Overhead Crane (OHC) licence preferred
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage stock effectively
• Proactive, reliable and safety-conscious
