Job summary

Day Webster Group are recruiting an experienced Band 8a Social Worker in Adult Social Care for a long-term contract in the Devon and Torbay area. The role requires strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005, and performance of adult social care assessments and safeguarding duties.

The post offers Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility for other patterns. A driving licence and SWE registration are essential qualifications.

• Valid driver’s licence held
• Degree or Diploma in Social Work completed/registered

Job description

Day Webster are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 8a Social Worker - Adult Social Care.

Our client is looking for the ideal candidate to start as soon as possible for a long term contract. The shift pattern would be Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, although the service would consider other suitable work patterns for the right candidate.

The social worker will need to hold good awareness, understanding and application of the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Must be be able to complete the following work:

• S.9 adult social care assessments and support plans.
• Mental capacity assessments.
• S.42 safeguarding enquires.
• Risk assessments.
• Carers assessments.

Day Webster Group currently have positions throughout the United Kingdon, Channel Islands, and Republic of Ireland for Psychological Therapies professionals of all Bands between 3 – 8c;
