Job summary
The Primary Care Complex Emotional Needs Service is a brief psychological service aimed at improving the lives of people who may struggle with emotional and relational difficulties associated with a diagnosis of personality disorder.
With additional investment, we are expanding our service to include individuals with Complex PTSD (cPTSD), bridging the gap between primary care and secondary mental health services.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic psychologist to provide clinical leadership within our primary care complex emotional needs service covering the Wiltshire locality. This role will also align with the Primary Care Liaison Services in Wiltshire. The postholder will conduct assessments, develop formulations, and provide brief psychological interventions for service users with various presenting difficulties, working closely with colleagues within the Wiltshire Psychological Therapies Service.
This pivotal role involves delivering high-quality psychological therapy to clients while leading a team of therapists and MHWP's. You will ensure the delivery of evidence-based, person-centred interventions and contribute to shaping and developing the service to meet the evolving needs of the primary care population.
As the PCLS psychologist, you will collaborate with other MDT members to ensure that service users receive high-quality assessments and interventions, including onward signposting.
