The Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is expanding its Primary Care Complex Emotional Needs Service and seeks an experienced psychologist. In this leadership role, you will provide psychological therapy, lead a team, and ensure evidence-based interventions for clients with emotional and relational difficulties.
The Primary Care Complex Emotional Needs Serviceis a brief psychological service aimed at improving the lives of people who may struggle with emotional and relational difficulties associated with a diagnosis of personality disorder.
With additional investment we are now expanding our service to individuals with Complex PTSD (cPTSD), bridging the gap between primary care and secondary mental health services.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic psychologist to provide clinical leadership within our primary care complex emotional needs service covering the Wiltshire locality. Alongside the role with the primary care CEN service the role will be aligned with the Primary Care Liaison Services in Wiltshire. The postholder will provide assessment, formulation and brief psychological interventions for service users with a range of presenting difficulties. For this part of the role, you will work closely with colleagues within the Wiltshire Psychological Therapies Service.
In this pivotal role you will deliver high quality psychological therapy to clients while also leading, a team of therapists and MHWP’s. You will ensure the delivery of evidence-based person-centred interventions whilst helping to shape and develop the service to meet the evolving needs of the primary care population.
As the PCLS psychologist, you will work closely with the other members of the MDT to ensure that service users receive a high quality assessment and intervention/ onward signposting.
