Job summary
"Following a restructure of our Improvement team, we are looking for three Improvement Business Partners (2 substantive and 1 fixed term maternity leave cover) to join us supporting our clinical groups. The Business Partners play a key role in coordinating improvement activities across their clinical group, working alongside clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to drive quality, financial and operational improvement to benefit the patients and communities we serve. They will provide expertise and project management skills to their designated clinical group and support the Heads of Improvement with delivery of Trust-wide improvement portfolios. We are looking for applicants with demonstratable experience in delivering improvement and working with multi-professional teams, with a creative attitude to problem solving that will help us achieve our improvement aspirations. Main duties of the jobThe IBP will be the key improvement resource for the clinical groups, working closelywith directorate management teams (GMs, HoNs and CDs) to lead and deliverimprovements in terms of quality and cost-efficiency for the clinical group.
They willprovide expertise to the teams with whom they work, developing improvement skillswithin the operational teams, and providing structure, methodology and energy todeliver benefits to our patients.Although the role will report into one specific Head of Improvement (HoI), the IBP willbe expected to support initiatives in any of the Trustwide improvement projects whichpertain to services delivered by their assigned clinical group.

We operate from two main sites - KGH in Goodmayes and Queen's Hospital in Romford. We have two busy emergency departments with more than 330,000 people visiting them last year. We're campaigning to secure the £35m we need to transform the A&E at Queen's and get rid of corridor care.
Our patients are benefitting from our Women's Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch.
These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 88,000 scans a year.
The majority of our 8,000 staff - who come from 146 different countries - live in the three diverse London boroughs we serve and are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups. Many can work flexibly and more than 400 of them are on our Ofsted accredited apprenticeship programmes. We're proud to be a London Living Wage employer.
