Overview

Acute Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (Band 7) in Harrow, earning £32 hourly. ASAP Start - Ongoing contract. Based in multiple sites in Harrow. Full-time position with flexibility for part-time hours for the right candidate. Role involves working with children aged 0-5 and adolescents facing dysphagia and social communication differences.

Responsibilities
  • Act as an autonomous practitioner, delivering specialist Speech and Language Therapy services to children and young people across the Acute Ward.
  • Provide support to premature neonates, babies, and young children in the Hospital Paediatric and Neonatal Wards.
  • Independently manage your caseload, addressing communication, eating, drinking, and swallowing needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical, health, education, and social services, and engage with parents and carers.
  • Advise, support, and supervise other SLTs working with children with complex needs in community settings.
Qualifications
  • HCPC registered with at least two years of relevant experience.
