Job Overview:
We are seeking a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join the team at Leighton Hospital. This senior role involves providing expert occupational therapy services across general healthcare settings, managing complex cases, and leading junior staff. Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with complex needs
Lead and supervise a team of junior therapists and support staff, ensuring high standards of care
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
Take a lead role in service development, quality improvement initiatives, and training programs
Provide guidance and education to patients, families, and carers
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to trust policies and professional standards
Key Requirements:
HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
Extensive experience in general occupational therapy, ideally within the NHS
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage a diverse and complex caseload effectively
Commitment to professional development and improving patient outcomes
