Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Nurse to serve as the Home Intervention Team (HIT) Lead within the well-established CAMHS Eating Disorder Service.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave starting August 2025, working 15 hours per week.
The role requires a driving license and access to a vehicle, as the service operates in the community, in families' homes, and at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The HIT provides intensive intervention to young people and their families currently supported by our core eating disorders team.
The team aims to prevent inpatient admissions, facilitate early discharge, support patients with complex co-morbid needs, and ensure safe, effective monitoring of high-risk patients due to physical or psychological needs.
You will collaborate within a diverse multidisciplinary team (MDT) alongside external stakeholders such as local paediatric teams in UHL. You will play a key role in maintaining and promoting a compassionate, responsive, and enthusiastic team comprising Nurses, an Occupational Therapist, and Assistant Practitioners.
The role involves clinical and operational supervision of the team, providing clinical oversight, and ensuring high-quality, effective service delivery.
You will lead the development of the HIT service and engage with wider stakeholders.
