Job summary

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to work in the Hillingdon Early Years team. The role focuses on leading projects, supervising junior staff, and developing leadership skills within a supportive SLT team.

You will provide highly specialist assessments and interventions for children and young people with speech, language, or communication needs, including involvement in ADOS and training package development.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree qualification or equivalent (minimum of 2:2)
• Health and Care Professions Council licence to practice
• Registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists or other relevant bodies
• Postgraduate training in ASD or related clinical areas

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist assessment and intervention for children and young people 0-19 with speech, language or communication needs.
• Lead on the ADOS assessment process.
• Develop training packages for early years settings, staff, parents and other professionals to identify concerns and implement therapy advice.
• Support the service to achieve Key Performance Indicators, maintaining target activity levels and demonstrating impact.
• Lead on quality governance, audits and projects for the team/service
• Be responsible for performance management of identified team members
• Attend safeguarding meetings/case conferences and complete safeguarding reports
• Record concerns and discussions regarding safeguarding in clinical notes and participate in safeguarding supervision
