Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, part of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, seeks a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist for a 12-month fixed-term post. The role offers rotational work across medicine for older people, stroke, cancer care, critical care, and voice/respiratory services, with strong supervision and opportunities for professional development.

You will join a large SLT team delivering FEES and videofluoroscopy, with support to develop your clinical practice

Qualifications

• Essential degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
• RCSLT membership required with Level C/EDS competencies for dysphagia.
• RCSLT NQP competencies completed.
• Experience in adult inpatient dysphagia and MDT collaboration recommended.

Responsabilités

• Assess and manage swallowing and communication disorders.
• Contribute to service development and audit.
• Work with MDT and supervise junior colleagues.
• Utilise FEES and videofluoroscopy where appropriate.
• Deliver flexible, fast-paced patient care.
