Join our team as a Band 6 Rotational Respiratory Physiotherapist at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for 2 Band 6 Respiratory Physiotherapists to work across various departments including ICU, Medical Respiratory, Surgical Respiratory, and Paediatrics. The post involves working within the inpatient Physiotherapy Team at Torbay Hospital, supporting a 7-day service, and participating in the on-call rota, including weekend shifts once a month.
The successful candidates will provide senior leadership in their specialist areas, support Band 5 staff on call, and deliver respiratory care in clinics, outpatient settings, and home visits. They will act as expert clinicians in assessing and managing patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions, and provide education to staff, students, patients, and carers.
Responsibilities include working with multidisciplinary teams for patient discharge planning, undertaking autonomous clinical assessments, formulating individualized treatment plans, and engaging in research and service development initiatives. The role also involves supervising and training junior staff and students, and contributing to quality improvement projects.
