Job summary

NHS England – Rotational Occupational Therapist, Band 6. The role involves carrying out comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans for patients, including those with complex presentations.

You will support junior therapists and students, participate in clinical audits, and mentor staff while maintaining high standards of record-keeping. The post requires active engagement in professional development, service improvement, and effective multidisciplinary communication to progress

Qualifications

• Carry out comprehensive assessments and treatment plans for patients, including complex cases.
• Support junior therapists, apprentices, assistants and students with their caseloads.
• Participate in clinical audit and evaluate clinical effectiveness.
• Mentor/preceptor for junior staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Engage in training to maintain competencies and attend relevant professional development.
• Lead service improvement initiatives and make recommendations for practice changes.
• Maintain accurate records in line with Royal College of Occupational Therapy, Trust and service standards.
• Communicate effectively with all disciplines involved in a patient’s care to ensure multidisciplinary teamwork.
