Job summary

Ashford and St. Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a general Band 6 rotation. NHS experience is essential and a valid driver’s license is required for this post.

The rotations cover cardiology, surgery, medicine, orthopaedics, stroke and more, offering diverse settings and opportunities to develop specialist skills. You will work within an established MDT, supervise students and apprentices, participate in seven-day service

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving license and access to a car.
• Experience in NHS or equivalent clinical setting.
• Postgraduate training in occupational therapy.
• Ability to manage a caseload and supervise students.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive inpatient assessments and treatment plans.
• Support junior staff with caseload management on wards.
• Complete patient assessments and determine discharge planning.
• Lead MDT discussions and contribute to service development.
• Participate in seven-day services and flexible working.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to apprentices and students.
• Maintain accurate records and reflect professional standards.
