Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 occupational therapist to join the Barberry National Centre for Mental Health's inpatient eating disorders service. The post is full time (37.5 hours per week) and on-site, focused on developing OT assessment and intervention skills within a multidisciplinary team.

You will supervise an OT assistant, facilitate student placements, and contribute to service development and projects.

Competenze

HCPC registration is essential.
Strong interest in working with eating disorders.
Significant post-registration experience in mental health.
Stated interest in specialising in the field.

Mansioni

To work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team.
To manage a defined caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based and client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
To maintain multidisciplinary clinical records.
To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of occupational therapy services within a designated service, holding responsibility for defined projects.
To regularly supervise occupational therapy students on placement.
To provide leadership for junior staff through supervision and appraisal.
To contribute to the maintenance and development of the trust occupational therapy service.
