Job summary

Band 6 Occupational Therapist (Neuropsychiatry) is sought for The Barberry National Centre for Mental Health in Birmingham. This 12-month fixed-term role is full time (37.5 hours per week) with a salary of £39,959–£48,117 per annum, pro rata.

The post supports outpatient OT services, online and home visits, and works within a skilled MDT. You will join a Band 6 OT team with a Band 7 clinical specialist OT and other MDT members, providing leadership, supervision of students, and service

Qualifications

HCPC registration required.
Able to travel between working sites.
Significant post-registration experience in mental health or neurology.
Strong interest in neuropsychiatry.
RCOT membership.

Responsibilities

To work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team.
To manage a defined caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in a range of settings.
To maintain multidisciplinary clinical records.
To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of occupational therapy services within a designated service, holding responsibility for defined projects.
To regularly supervise occupational therapy students on placement.
To provide leadership for junior staff through supervision and appraisal.
To contribute to the maintenance and development of the trust occupational therapy service.
