Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Midwife for The Rosie Hospital maternity service. You will deliver safe, compassionate, evidence‑based care to women and birthing people across pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period while supporting the Elective Caesarean Birth pathway.

The role is rotational within the CARES Team, with opportunities to develop specialist skills, leadership, and involvement in quality improvement alongside obstetric,

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with current registration and relevant midwifery experience.
• Diploma or Degree in Midwifery or equivalent.
• Experience across a range of maternity settings and with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to lead, teach and support students and junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, evidence‑based midwifery care across pregnancy, birth and postnatal periods.
• Work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team to support women with varied maternity needs.
• Contribute to planning, recovery pathways and service development within the CARES Team for Elective Caesarean Birth.
