Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Midwife for The Rosie Hospital in Cambridge. You will provide evidence-based maternity care across pregnancy, birth and postnatal periods, rotating within the CARES Team to support elective Caesarean pathways.

The role emphasises leadership, teaching, and MDT collaboration, with opportunities to develop in enhanced recovery and pre-operative assessment. NHS benefits and flexible working are offered.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with midwifery qualification
• Experience across maternity settings and NHS environment
• Experience supporting students and junior staff
• Experience in audit, quality improvement or service development
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
• Experience managing and escalating clinical concerns
• Knowledge of maternity safety and relevant programmes
• Able to travel between Trust and community services

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based care to women throughout pregnancy, birth and postnatal period.
• Work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Support Elective Caesarean Birth pathway within CARES Team at The Rosie Hospital.
• Develop specialist skills in enhanced recovery, pre-operative assessment, education and care planning.
• Collaborate with obstetric, anaesthetic, neonatal and midwifery colleagues to ensure seamless, personalised care.
