Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner
Band: 6
Location: Preston, Lancashire
Working Hours: 37.5

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) to join our esteemed client’s inpatient team in Preston, Lancashire. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services for adults within our client’s team to case manage and support with assessments and risk reviews. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start from immediately for a short-term contract. This vacancy offers competitive rates.

What will your responsibilities be?

You will conduct ongoing, accurate assessments of the risks that service users pose to themselves or others and effectively communicate these risks to all involved in their care, including those outside of mental health services when appropriate. You will manage these risks effectively, especially in settings where there may be no other mental health professional support, ensuring the safety of both the service users and yourself. Your expertise will be crucial in handling unpredictable user groups and maintaining a safe environment.

Qualifications and Experience:
