Role Details:

Position: Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner

Team: Waltham Forest Open Dialogue Team (WFNL)

Location: Walthamstow

Working Hours: Flexible, hours per week

Responsibilities:

The post holder will be a Registered Practitioner with significant intermediate care experience at band 5. Responsibilities include managing care for a caseload, working under the line management of the Open Dialogue Team Manager, and possibly completing a Diploma in Peer Supported Open Dialogue.

The role involves clinical work within a Community Recovery Service, care coordination, and collaboration with other health and social care professionals. The post holder must be legally and professionally accountable for all aspects of care.

Skills:
  • Build effective relationships with service users, carers, and the social network
  • Ensure relatives and carers understand the condition and can communicate effectively
  • Participate in Open Dialogue meetings and self-work
  • Inspire hope and support service user goals
  • Communicate in line with the Trust’s values
  • Contribute to policy development, research, and audits
Requirements:
  • UK references and immunization reports
  • Valid NMC pin
  • Right to Work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
