Band 6 Creative Therapist/CAMHS Practitioner

We are looking for a Full time Band 6 Creative Therapist/CAMHS practitioner to join our innovative and friendly Emotional Health Service in our established schools programme team.

About the role

This position is part of the CAMHS Trailblazer Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in Kingston, which has been active since January 2022. The team currently includes four Educational Wellbeing Practitioners (EWPs), a CAMHS Creative Practitioner, a CAMHS Mental Health Clinician, and a part-time Clinical Lead. We are now seeking to expand the team by adding a CAMHS Practitioner. This role involves conducting assessments and delivering high-quality, low to moderate-level interventions to children and families in both group and 1:1 settings. Additionally, the role includes providing workshops and support for parents, as well as offering consultations, support, and training to school staff.

About you

To be a CAMHS Practitioner at AfC, you must be passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people. You will prioritize their well-being above all else. As a qualified mental health professional, you will have experience working with children facing mental health challenges and be familiar with working in a school setting. Your dedication and expertise will be essential in helping us continue to support and improve the mental health of the children and young people we serve.
