Job Description:

The committed team in Bishops Stortford is looking for an experienced Community Psychiatric Nurse to join them in delivering high-quality integrated health and social care for individuals facing mental health issues. You will work closely with service users to provide individualized support tailored to their needs.

Your role will include, but is not limited to:

• Maintaining high standards of care while respecting service users' individuality and dignity, promoting independence.
• Conducting assessments and developing care plans in collaboration with service users, in line with the Trust’s CPA Care Coordination Policy.
• Communicating effectively and confidentially with all involved in the care process.
• Applying a Behavioral Family Therapy approach when appropriate.
• Fostering open communication within the team and with other agencies to promote multidisciplinary care.
• Acting as CPA Care Coordinator for service users as required.
• Encouraging positive mental health practices among service users.
• Providing psychiatric nursing interventions, psychological care, and advice.
• Participating in a duty system regularly.
• Ensuring a recovery-focused approach in patient interventions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role.
• Experience with CMHT.
• Relevant degree and NMC registration.
• Experience of responsibility and supporting practice development.
• Enhanced DBS check (preferably on the update service).
• Mandatory training certificates.
• Full driving license and access to own vehicle are advantageous.
