The City Community Adult Mental Health Teams are looking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Senior Mental Health Nurse.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The successful candidates will hold a current Professional qualification as a Registered Nurse with an appetite for creative thinking in the face of challenges, a mind prepared for early adoption of change and innovation. If this is you and you have a passion for mental health and the energy to want to work in a supportive and diverse Community Mental Health Recovery Team then your seat is ready for you with us.

The City Adult Community Team has been identified as the Early Adopter site for the newly commissioned Personality Disorder pathway which in itself is bringing exciting opportunities for training and working collectively and therapeutically.

Person specification
Qualification
  • Nursing degree or equivalent, Dip OT, Clinical Psychology or equivalent
  • Ongoing professional development working towards degree level
Experience
  • Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice from previous experience
  • Demonstrate effective risk assessment and risk management experience
Skills
  • Able to time manage and reflect on clinical practice

The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.

This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £16 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
