Job summary

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is based in Newton Abbot, delivering high-quality community and intermediate care physiotherapy as part of an established MDT, with strong clinical support and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in physiotherapy.
• State registration with HCPC.
• Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio.
• NHS experience including rotation across orthopaedics, elderly care, medical, surgical, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centred physiotherapy across community and home settings.
• Manage own caseload across a wide range of conditions.
• Collaborate with GPs, consultants, nurses and other professionals.
• Support timely, safe discharges and prevent hospital admissions.
• Participation in weekend and evening rota.
• Engage in rotation opportunities including Urgent Community Response.
