Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a post holder to provide high quality assessment for children and young people, including risk assessment, care planning and 1:1 therapeutic interventions within a multidisciplinary service.

The role involves collaboration with partner agencies, development of care pathways, and efforts to reduce avoidable presentations to A&E, with safeguarding and DBS responsibilities as part of safe recruitment practices.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in health/mental health (e.g., Nurse, OT, Social Worker).
• Evidence of professional registration relevant to the post.
• Significant post-qualification experience in mental health.
• Experience of working in a community setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and deliver care for service users with moderate to severe mental health/emotional difficulties as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide 1:1 therapeutic intervention and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to coordinate care and ensure appropriate pathways.
