About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head and Neck Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at UCLH Hospital. This role involves working with a diverse caseload of patients with head and neck conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic interventions to patients with communication and swallowing disorders.

This position is available now and the pay rate for this role will be up to £34 per hour.

Main responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with head and neck conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide direct therapy to patients, both individually and in groups.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Educate patients and their families about communication and swallowing disorders and provide strategies for management.
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences.
Essential requirements
  • HCPC registration.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Relevant degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Experience working with head and neck caseloads.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
