Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic and experienced band 5 theatre practitioners to join our busy theatres, performing open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery programmes. The post holder will practice autonomously, manage peri-operative care, and support junior staff while adhering to professional standards and our Trust policies.

Qualifications

• Practice according to the NMC/HCPC Code of Professional Standards.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical competencies through mandatory training.
• Ability to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate peri-operative care.

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate peri-operative care.
• Take charge of the non-medical workforce on a shift as required.
• Contribute to service development, governance and quality improvement.
• Support junior staff and supervise non-medical colleagues as appropriate.
