Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and forward-thinking Specialist Radiography Dental Nurse to join our Dental Outreach Centre in Birmingham City Centre on a substantive basis. The centre hosts specialties including Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, and Periodontology, with potential to support additional dental specialties.
The ideal candidate must hold a Dental Radiography certificate, be up-to-date with IRMER training, and provide a CPD log related to radiography. Flexibility to travel to other sites within the division is required.
The post-holder will support clinical management, ensure high standards of patient care, and adhere to Trust policies and procedures. Responsibilities include clinical nursing support, education and development of clinical teams, stock management, equipment preparation, patient assessments, and supporting radiography services.
Additional duties involve supporting training, clinical governance, quality improvement, and ensuring compliance with national targets.

Person specification
Essential Education: Dental Nursing Qualification, Post Qualification in Dental Radiography, GDC Registration
Desirable Education: Recognised Teaching Qualification at Level 3 or equivalent
Essential Experience: Significant experience in the specialty and wide range of dentistry, CPD evidence
Desirable Experience: Leadership/Management, Clinical Audit/QSIR, assessment experience
Skills & Knowledge: Stock management, team leadership, handling complex situations, adaptability
