Main Duties/Responsibilities

As a Band 5 Registered Nurse at Colwyn Bay Hospital, you will:

• Provide constant monitoring and care for patients in serious or unstable conditions
• Support emergency admissions, planned admissions, and post-surgery patients and their families, communicating clinical information effectively
• Safely prepare, check, and assemble equipment required for operating lists
• Adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct
• Take blood samples, fit cannulas, and undertake patient observations as needed
• Write care plans, perform assessments, and make referrals
• Organise admissions and discharges

Qualifications and Certifications

Essential:

• Registered Nurse qualification
• At least 2 years post-graduate experience
• Recent NHS experience within the last 3 years (minimum 6 months)
• Pass an enhanced background check
