Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Band 5 physiotherapist for a permanent post in the Short-Term Care Beds Service. This role suits newly qualified or developing physiotherapists and focuses on short-term rehabilitation to help adults safely progress toward discharge.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat and evaluate outcomes, aiming to improve mobility, balance and confidence and to promote independence in daily activities.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a physiotherapist
• Newly qualified or developing physiotherapist
• Commitment to high-quality, person-centred care
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and rehabilitate adults with a wide range of physical and functional needs
• Undertake physiotherapy assessments and develop and implement treatment plans
• Deliver rehabilitation programmes and evaluate outcomes
• Improve mobility, strength, balance and confidence to help patients reach rehabilitation goals
• Support safe discharge planning
• Coordinate care with other health professionals
• Manage a varied caseload including falls prevention and rehabilitation after illness or hospital admission
• Promote independence and participation in daily activities
