Job summary

A healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Band 5 Locum Pharmacy Technician for a full-time role in Sidcup. The successful candidate will prepare and dispense medications, manage patient records, and ensure compliance with regulations. A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services and 2 years' NHS hospital pharmacy experience is required. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of £19 - £34.   • Working hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 09:00 AM – 17:00 PM

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services.

Duties and Responsibilities

You will be preparing and dispensing medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will be managing and maintaining accurate patient records. You will be assisting with inventory management and stock control. You will be providing excellent customer service and patient care. You will be ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience/Knowledge:
    • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or Qualified Pharmacy Technician with relevant certification.
    • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration NHS hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
    • Good organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
