Job summary

Hcrg Care Group is seeking a Band 5 Immunisation Nurse to support school and community immunisation programmes in Woking. The role requires administering vaccines, maintaining cold chain, and contributing to service improvement within CFHS/ NHS guidelines.

The post involves 15 hours per week, term-time only, with part-time hours and a 5% fringe allowance. Full UK driving licence and vehicle are desirable.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with experience working with children and young people.
• Knowledge of NHS issues, clinical governance and risk management.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to assess needs, work independently and manage own time.
• IT literate and able to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering school and community immunisation programmes following local policies and SOPs.
• Administer vaccines safely with correct cold chain and documentation.
• Prepare, transport, and maintain immunisation equipment and vaccine stocks.
• Act as Lead Nurse when competent, supervising bank nurses and students.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and participate in training and audits.
• Communicate effectively with children, families and multidisciplinary teams.
