Job Overview

Welcome to CNWL Mental Health Inpatient Services for Children and Young People. Collingham Child and Family Centre is one of six National 7 Day Inpatient settings, working in partnership with Chelsea Hospital Schools for children aged 5 - 13 years old. We are currently recruiting for a Band 5 CAMHS Staff Nurse.

Located between High Street Kensington & Earls Court, Collingham is a Tier 4 Children’s Mental Health Unit providing acute inpatient care and schooling for young people with complex mental health needs and behavioral problems.

Main Duties

The role involves flexible shift patterns: Early 07:30 - 15:30, Late 12:30 - 20:30, Nights 20:00 - 08:00. This is a 24/7 service.

Who Are We?

The multidisciplinary team includes nursing, psychology, occupational therapists, systemic psychotherapists, support workers, social workers, dieticians, and psychiatrists. We are expanding into advanced clinical practice roles. The service is overseen by a Clinical Unit Manager, Therapy Lead, and Consultant Psychiatrist, linked to CAMHS services managed by senior clinical and service directors.

Job Responsibilities

The team provides assessment and treatment for children with complex emotional, behavioral, and psychological difficulties, working closely with families to develop parenting skills. We support staff development through CPD, protected clinical supervision, training, and reflective practice. Opportunities for training in PBS, DBT, and CBT are available. We promote vaccination to ensure safety for staff and patients.
