Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is recruiting an enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist (Band 5) to join the Glasgow Clinical Research Facility. You will work under supervision in a multidisciplinary team on mental health research, delivering protocol-driven assessments and contributing to a range of studies.

The role includes professional supervision, PVG check requirements, and a 24-month fixed-term, part-time pattern (23.8 hours per week) with a Monday–Friday 08:00–16:00 schedule at Glasgow

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Psychology with good academic record.
• Eligible for GBC of the British Psychological Society.
• Experience (paid or voluntary) with people and relationship building.
• Understanding of learning disabilities or mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical research in line with governance and regulatory standards.
• Conduct protocol-based psychological and neuropsychological assessments.
• Administer tests, self-report measures, scales, and interviews.
• Support care plan formulation and delivery under supervision.
• Contribute to resource development and service improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in MDT meetings.
