Job description

Band 4-Rotational Technician-Pharmacy Production Services

The post holder will assist the Chief Technician and Senior Technicians in the daily operations of the Sterile Production Unit, Central Intravenous Additive Service (CIVAS), and Non-Sterile Manufacturing Department. The department is divided into four teams: Sterile Batches, Chemotherapy, Non-Sterile, and CIVAS. The role involves rotating between these teams, ensuring all products are manufactured according to Good Manufacturing Practice, COSHH, and Health and Safety regulations.

This is a fixed-term position for 12 months.

Responsibilities include supporting the operation of the Chemotherapy unit, Sterile Batches, and CIVAS, training less experienced staff, and deputising for the Senior Technician when needed. The post-holder will develop expertise in aseptic preparation and ensure their professional certifications are maintained and revalidated timely.
